Buttermilk Springs is located about a 1/2 mile off the paved road on a well maintained dirt road. With very little traffic, you will experience the sounds and peacefulness of nature, as well as our spring-fed stream that provides a place to get your feet wet, hunt crawdads, or just set up a lawn chair and listen to the water run over the rocks. Choose your parking under trees near the spring, or out in the open....either way, on a clear night, star gazing will be amazing. Enjoy the sounds of nature....we have owls that sound off every evening, birds chirping throughout the day, deer meandering, coyotes howling at night, and everything in between. Mountain Bikers, we’ve got you covered. Bella Vista trails are nearby and offer all types of riding depending on what you're looking for.
