Mountain Retreat in the Forest But Close to Town
About this parking spot
Our home and flat parking space sits on 1.2 acres of forest at the top of Banner Mountain. The private road to our driveway and the driveway approach is steep and can be icy/snowy in the winter, so not the best time for easy access. The parking area is flat and is a great place for nocturnal wildlife watching: owls, deer, bobcats, bears, raccoons, and even mountain lions have been sighted from this spot. We are a 15 minute drive to historical Nevada City or Grass Valley.
