Hi.   I'm Dan and I'm a semi-retired widower.
I've spent most of the last 40 years in the biotechnology industry.  
Two decades ago I was involved (in a very peripheral way) in the Human Genome Project. 
I'm a lifelong sailor of sailboats and small power boats, a former marine surveyor & former USCG licensed 100 Ton Master. 
As your host, I try to find a way to improve your Charleston visit and get out of the way.

I loved staying at Daniel’s place. The spot itself has a great vibe. The neighborhood it is in is interesting to walk around and has good restaurant options. The kayaking amenity is a wonderful experience and highly recommended. The place is a very convenient base to explore Charleston from. Daniel is an excellent host, very friendly and informative. I will stay there again.

Dan’s home/site are tranquil and beautiful. He gave us great recommendations for things to do in the city as well. Thank you for everything! This was a wonderful first time in Charleston for us.
