As the number of listings and hosts on Vanly grows, so does the number of bookings and the feedback we get for guests. That’s why we decided to come up with some simple tips on how to be a great host. Feel free to email us at tips@vanly.app if you have any tips you’d like to add.

Make your listing stand out

Take great pictures of your parking space, set an engaging title for the listing, and spend some time crafting an accurate description of the space and amenities.

Respond quickly

From the time you receive a booking, you'll have up to 72 hours to respond to the booking, the sooner you respond the sooner a guest can make their travel plans. This is probably the most important factor for guests. It helps guests secure a place as soon as possible.

Turn on Instant bookings

If you wish, you can allow 1-Click bookings, this will allow anyone to book your place instantly whenever it is available. This is something many guests will appreciate as it allows them to secure a place instantly and you will still be notified any time your listing is booked. You can turn on instant booking by navigating to the "Pricing" section of the listing management page and you can always turn it off when your not sure if your listing is going to be available.

Add check-in instructions

Let the guests know everything they need to know upon arrival. Let them know exactly where you’d like them to park, what to expect and what level of interaction you’d like to have with them. If you offer amenities, explain how guests should be accessing the amenities you offer. You can set up your check-in message on the “Details” section of your listing management page. That way, you’ll only have to write it once and it will be automatically sent to the guests on the day of their arrival.
