So without further ado, here's a list of our favorite spots to roadtrip to in the Fall:

The Northeast

In the Northeast, the fall season is all about enjoying the beautiful changing leaves. Head to Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine to see the foliage in all its glory. For a dose of history, drive out to Plymouth, Massachusetts to see where the Pilgrims first landed. Or, if you’re feeling really adventurous, tackle one of the hair-raising scenic drives in the area, like the Kancamagus Highway in New Hampshire.

The South

In the South, fall is a great time to enjoy the outdoors before the temperatures get too cold. Take a hike through the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee or North Carolina, or go for a swim in the clear waters of Florida’s springs. For a taste of Southern culture, drive down to New Orleans to eat some delicious creole food and listen to some live jazz.

The Midwest

The Midwest is a great place to vanlife in the fall, thanks to its wide open spaces and beautiful scenery. Drive out to the Badlands in South Dakota to see the striking landscape, or go for a hike in one of the many state and national parks in the area. If you’re looking for a more urban vanlife experience, head to Minneapolis, where you can enjoy the city’s great food and drink scene.

The West Coast

There’s no shortage of great vanlife destinations on the west coast, but in the fall, some places are simply unbeatable. In Oregon, drive out to the coast to see the dramatic cliffs and crashing waves. Or, head inland to Bend to enjoy the crisp mountain air. If you’re feeling really adventurous, set out on a road trip down the Pacific Coast Highway to see all the stunning coastal scenery that the west coast has to offer.
