This place is amazing! Close to great beaches and surf spots, flat driveway, quiet street, very friendly and kind hosts and great to have the option for a hot shower and hot tub! We will be back!

Shane's space is in the perfect location to explore beautiful Santa Cruz. Barely a 2 minute walk down to the waterfront and a nice, level, safe and quiet spot to sleep in our van overnight. Being able to shower after our flight down was a real treat, too! Thanks for hosting us! We hope to be back again. (PS: breakfast burritos at Point Market are delicious and an absolute must!)

Great location with a beautifully relaxing backyard. Walking distance to surfing spots and restaurants. Miches Ceviche, highly recommended! Great host with a full package: board rentals, outside shower, bike rentals, hot tub. All around great experience, thanks!

I didn't get a chance to meet Shane unfortunately, but he bent over backwards to make my stay work. The spot was as described, it was surprisingly quiet and was near a super cool surf spot. Highly recommended!

Great place to be, the neighborhood and neighbors are awesome, right by the sea! This is why i moved to Santa Cruz for the good vibes, energy, and overall great people, and oh the surf too! My dog loved the play area, made himself right at home. The shower is outside but its been so hot here lately that honestly it was better outside, its one of the underrated Santa Cruz experiences. I will definitely book again if they will have me, Shane and his wife are beautiful hosts.

Shane's was awesome! We messaged him on short notice and he was super accommodating. Whole backyard to ourselves. Doggo loved running around. Hot tub and outdoor shower are a solid add on. Felt safe and neighbors were friendly. Perfect location for biking around Santa Cruz- loved using his cruiser bikes. Delicious tacos a block away at Point Market. Surfers/ explorers haven!

Nice and quiet and the shower was awesome. I will probably pay for the hot tub next time. Shane was very a responsive host and very nice. I will be staying here again.

Great location, very short walk to the Pleasure Point coast. The drive fit our Sprinter 170 van nicely. Shane was super helpful as a host, with some great recommendations for dining and experiencing the area. Definitely will be booking this spot again in the future!

Shane is a great host with a perfect location to pleasure point. You can leave your van and be in the water in 5 minutes. Shane, his wife and sweet pup greeted us upon arrival and showed us the hot tub and shower in their nice backyard. My only regret was not spending more time in the space. I’ll for sure be reserving Shane’s spot again when we pass through.

Shane is the gold standard of hosts. His place is literally a 3 minute walk to the best overall surf spot in northern CA. It’s got longboard and shortboard waves right there. His street however is super quiet as it’s off the main drag. Great bars, restaurants, markets and coffee shops are also walking distance. Outdoor shower gets so nice and piping hot coming out of the ocean and hot tub is great for relaxing when it cools down at night. Shane is highly responsive and accommodating! A 10/10!

I had a very enjoyable experience staying in my van at Shane's beach house rental in Santa Cruz, California. The location couldn't have been better, just a few steps from the beach and within walking distance of shops. The property itself was well-maintained and had all the amenities I needed, Shane was an accommodating host who made sure I had everything I needed! I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a cozy and convenient place to park their van for a beach getaway.
