The Frontier Drive-Inn is a 1950's era Drive-In, turned Drive-Inn. We reopened the Frontier in 2022, after revitalizing the original snack bar with a full chef's kitchen and lounge, rebuilding the original screen and installing a surround sound outdoor theater and digital projection system. We have 4 guest suites with in-suite bathrooms and 10 yurts with shared restroom facilities. We also offer overnight Van and RV parking.  Vanly guests will have access to our shared snackbar, with restroom, refridgerator and chef's kitchen. For an additional charge, Vanly guests can access our Yurt Restrooms, equipped with private shower and toilet facilities. 

We show films exclusively to overnight guests on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights - mid May through September.

The Frontier Drive-Inn

Welcome to gorgeous Gunnison Colorado! Use our half (long ways, hot-dog style) of our 45’ driveway as your Gunnison base. This driveway is ideally located in a quiet Gunnison neighborhood and is a 1-min walking distance to public toilets (that’s the building to the right in the scenic photo) (open seasonally, closed in the winter). 6-7 min walk to public free bus that whisks you to Crested Butte (40 min ride on bus, 30 min by car). Grocery store and rec center (showers!) is a 5 min drive/bike, downtown gunnison is a 6 min drive/bike. It’s about a 15-20 min drive to Hartman Rocks, our local gem. The in-town walking trail is across the street, and the Signal Peak trail system starts about 1 mile from here. We are also very near the Char Mar park and outdoor tennis and pickleball courts. 

You can use our hose to fill up your water tanks. Electricity will be provided via an extension cord. 

Due to the quiet nature of the neighborhood, quiet hours will be strictly enforced (10pm-8am). Any pets (dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, whatever) outside of your vehicle will need to be leashed and picked up after.
