Hello and welcome, Started vanlifeing around the country in 2020 in search of the best spots for great weather, nature, quiet and outdoor activities (swimming, hiking , biking and kayaking). In 2021 I found this wonderful spot in the Keewenaw that has everything I was looking for - love it here! I'm in the process of building an outside toilet and shower but unfortunately that's not done yet. Clean water, electricity and wifi are all available now! Still working slowly but surely on the camp and the land and often need a little help with yard work or building things - I can pay about $12 per hour for easy work and more for skilled jobs. Howdy,

Prior to the pandemic I've spent half year in New Orleans (my home) as a professor at Tulane and the other half year running a non-profit org with Tibetan refugees in India.

Started vanlifing with my dog Yogi Bear in 2020 :) Bought this Keewenaw camp in 2021.

Now its New Orleans 4 months - India 2 - Peru 1 - Vanlife 2 and here at the Keewenaw camp for July , August and September :)

Quiet, fresh air, clean water, great weather, lots of nature and a big sky

Love it here !
