Vanlife Spring Destinations

Spring is here! The sun is staying out later and flowers are starting to bloom. Now is the time to take advantage of this lovely time of year. Springtime offers the best of both worlds. From skiing in shorts to jumping in rivers and lakes spring has so much to offer. Here are a few of Vanly's favorite spring destinations.

Bend, OR

Bend Oregon is the ultimate spring destination. In Bend, you can ski, climb, hike, fish, and more in this picturesque mountain town. During the springtime in Bend, you can do multiple sports all in one day. You can wake up in the morning and hit the slopes at Mt. Bachelor, then head over to the Bend Whitewater Park to Surf or kayak in the river (you probably need a dry suit this time of year). You can find wildflowers and breathtaking views along with some great spring hikes like Suttle Lake, the Deschutes River Trail, and Tam-A-Lau Trail in Cove Palisades State Park. You can find a safe place to park in Bend on Vanly at the West Side Bungalow & Art studio where you can enjoy a kitchen, shower, bathroom, and a firepit from our kind hosts.

Boston, MA

Spring is a great time to visit Boston MA. the frigid temperatures of winter are lightening up and the city comes to life. It is a great time to dine outdoors in the charming streets of Boston. A true foodie town, where you can find some of the best lobster rolls, clam chowder, and fish and chips in the world. During springtime in Boston, you can peep some spring blooms on your way to the local farmer's markets then kayak or stand up paddleboard on the Charles River. You can stay at a Vanly spot 10 minutes from downtown Boston with amenities right next to the beautiful Mystic River. Springtime in Boston is a special time of year, it is when you can enjoy the town before the tourist season and dodge the winter freeze.

Tucson, AZ

If winter has chilled you to the bone and you need a thaw take a spring vacation in Tucson Arizona. With warm weather and much to do and see in this little city, it is a great place to spend some time in spring. There are many great restaurants to choose from and sights to see. Check out the Tucson Botanical Gardens which is open all year round. Party in midtown at some bars and lounges with some offering poker and karaoke. You can find a Large Enclosed Parking Sanctuary in Midtown on Vanly where you can park your van.

Death Valley, CA 

Springtime in death valley is the most popular time of the year because of its natural beauty and temperate weather. Wildflower season has the potential to pop off in the valley and create a stunning landscape of flowers covering the normally arid desert ground. With extraordinary hiking through limestone canyons and salt flats that will blow your mind, Death Valley this time of year is a must-see. Check out the Desert Vineyard Near Death Valley National Park it is a perfect basecamp for exploring the Valley and surrounding area.
