Farmstead Attraction

I live on an acre of partially wooded land. It is located in a rural neighborhood. There are neighbors close by, but the trees surround my property making it feel very private and safe. Neighbors are within hearing distance, so think of this like a campsite with other people and other animals. It is located right beside a neighborhood road (a road that is not extremely busy). Across the road is a piece of property with 200 acres and a lovely view of trees and mountain.

I have parking spaces for two vans or two small rvs right at the top of my driveway on soft ground. The ground is mostly flat and doesn’t flood when it rains. You can camp out of your van/rv or set up your own tent. This is conveniently located near the highway and not far from the town of Columbus for your shopping needs. Hiking trails of Chimney Rock are within a 28 minute drive, along with the town of Lake Lure and its lake access to boats, kayacks, and swimming. A beautiful waterfall/hike called Little Bradley Falls is also located within 25 minutes.

I do not have water or electrical hookups, nor do I have a space to empty your sewage or grey water tanks. I am in the process of crafting a space for a small fire pit, which can be utilized for a camp fire to cook meals or make smores. You can walk my wooded property up to the wooden fence and collect as many sticks and fallen branches as you need. Animals that occasionally pass through property at night are: deer, coyote, and fox. If paying close attention, you can also catch sight of a few neighborhood owls! No bears!

I do have three dogs that go outside in my fenced yard quite frequently when I am home, but I will allow time for you to utilize my yard for your four legged critters to stretch their paws and play. Updated vaccination papers can be texted to me via photo to make sure we keep all animals safe from illness. It is important to text me before you utilize the fenced in portion of my yard, so that our dogs do not clash. I can supply a water bowl and free water bottles for you. Waste bags for dogs will be located under carport near trashcan. There is a one time fee of $5 for pets to use the backyard, but that fee covers the duration of your stay. If you book more than one night in a row, I will waive the fee for the other days.

Bathroom, shower, water, and wifi is not listed as an amenity, but can be discussed for dire necessity (and small additional fee via Venmo or PayPal). If using bathroom on wooded part of property, bury your waste at least thirty feet away from parking spaces and properly dispose of all paper/toiletry items.

Big rescue farm!  Lots of outdoor space.   Outdoor shower and bath.  Electric hookup.  Water hookups.   Rescue animals to keep you entertained.  Laundry if needed.   Skoolie if needed for extra cost!  Nightly rental.  Creek.  Pastures.  Close to town.
