Blossom Hill Holiday Sites

It's a level paved driveway in a nice trailer park full of retired and working class people. The entire neighborhood is woods, mostly oak trees, and there's little traffic.

It's safe, clean and you'll have access to wifi, electricity (via an outside GFCI outlet), and water (via an outside spigot if it's above freezing). There are nice walking trails, and plenty of nearby (within 10 minutes) shopping including Earth Fare, Kroger, coffee shops, Lowes, Wal-Mart, bakeries, restaurants, etc.

There are horses out back. They are friendly, but the fence is electric. There is a playground in the neighborhood with swing, slides, climbing stuff and a merry-go-round.

We are located along the Greenbrier River at the historic Woodson Mohler Prince Grocery Company Warehouse. We like living in this spot. It’s like a vacation all year. Between the Mountain View’s, the river, and the community, we think other people would like to stop on by for a night or two. We thought we’d share our spot with others who will enjoy our beautiful West Virginia home. We have room for one van or RV per night. Stay includes WiFi, garbage, and outdoor picnic table.  We have one power outlet. 
  We have a pedestrian bridge, a park, 4 local shops, 2 stores, 2 gas stations, and 5 eatery’s within walking distance. We also have two nice places in town to choose from with overnight accommodations if you are meeting up with friends or family. Just ask us and we’ll point you in the right direction, We are within 2 hours or less of so many amazing places and things to do in southern WV in all directions! We have a convenient walkable community that’s centered around the river. All you will need is right here if you choose to just stay in town. If you are a railroad enthusiast, this is good location for you to stop. 
You should know before you book: 
We are located along the railroad line. It is loud. We are used to it. It does not bother some people. But for others, it can be too loud. So please consider this before you book. Trains move through and blow the whistle at the crossing across the street. If you like trains, you’ll see some close up. 
It is along a side street. Minimal traffic will pass by the driveway. Please be mindful of this. 
Kayaking:
 Is at your own risk. You will have to sign a waiver to rent them. We provide life jackets. 
Credit card info required to hold in case equipment is lost, not returned, or damaged. We have recommended river levels for using the kayaks. They are available on low water days with the exception of paddling right in town where he water is deep enough. We have 4 kayaks available. Two local company’s provide River trips in the area if you are interested in a more in depth experience. A list of rules for the river will be provided before renting. 
Prices: 
Kayaking use hours are from 8am to 6pm. 
$25 per two hours for one person
$50 for all day use for one person 

$45 per two hours for two people 
$95 for all day use for two people

Our space is along roadside. It is a mostly quiet side street. But you do have to mind the road. It’s not a busy street.  

You can see the public park, memorial bridge, and railroad right outside your location. We are close to 5 places to eat, two gas stations, two unique stores, a drugstore, and the post office. All are within walking distance. 

These folks had a huge Bus. Tight fit. But we did it.

We are right across the street from the Historic Alderson Train Depot. They host open Mike nights and community events throughout the year.

Alderson Memorial Bridge lit up for the holidays. The Memorial bridge is just steps away from your parking spot. It’s open year round to pedestrians only. It’s good for waking, sightseeing of our beautiful Mountain View’s, bicycling, and always a good fishing spot. 

Alderson’s Store is a historic landmark. A must see for anyone visiting the area. It is just less than a block away. You’ll be amazed at the selection of interesting antiques, clothing, and many other souvenirs and gifts.

Amtrack stops right next door to us. If you are looking to arrange picking up any friends to join you on your travel adventures, Alderson is a great place to stop with your RV for the night and meet or drop off your friends or family who are joining you. 

You are right on the river here in Alderson WV. Many ways to enjoy it. We have good fishing, local river trip experts and rentals, and it’s a great place to swim.

This space is on a small homestead with a private driveway for RV/camper/van parking. Easy access from the road, beautiful pong view, electric and water hook-ups on site. Camping area has an outdoor dining space (picnic table, cowboy kitchen) and fire pit very close to hook-ups. Owner lives on the property. Dogs are welcome with pre-approval. Grill available for use with advanced notice.

Humble abode with space to park right off 460! I did vanlife for 5 years and decided to settle down with a little house on the highway. I know exactly what it's like to just need a friendly place to park and I'm so happy to be able to provide that! Enough space marked out for up to four full size rv's to be parked here at once so who knows, maybe you'll meet some new friends here! 

Large communal fire pit available for anyone and sometimes we yardsell knickknacks and whatnots. My father was a handyman and I'm a mechanic so lots of tools and always happy to help. If you need something, just say something!!

Hippie Hollow

One quiet, rural ridge top parking spot next to the garage. Easy pull on, pull off. No amenities, just a quiet place to park, sleep, eat, and walk the dog or cat without being bothered. Only one mile off the I470 Wheeling bypass, so easy access for through travelers. There is a Park and Ride at the interstate exit with an entrance on Kirkwood Heights, the same road as this spot. We are 120 miles from Columbus, OH, 45 minutes from Washington, PA, 1 1/2 hours from Pittsburgh, 5 miles from St Clairsville, OH, 3 miles from Wheeling Island, WV. There are large truck stops 20 miles west at Morristown, OH and east at Dallas Pike, WV. Our road gets little traffic during the night, picks up about 6-7am a little and again 3-6pm. The milk truck goes by twice per day and my nephews drive farm equipment past, otherwise no trucks. There is some muffled interstate echo down over the hill with occasional Jake brakes, and occasional distant sirens in the opposite valley of Ohio's Wheeling Creek. Wheeling Island is just 3 miles away. The neighbors are all my husband's family to the south, and a professional police dog trainer directly to the north whose elderly shepherd sometimes stops by. Family may wave and say hello if they see you. There are lovely sunrises and sunsets above the clouds, just two ridges in from the Ohio River. Neighbors very sparsely walk and ride bikes past but will not bother you. We walk our two dogs a couple times per day around 5:30 am on weekdays, later on weekends, and in the evening as well and sometimes let them run in the field but we will also not bother you The dogs may come say hello if you are out but that is unlikely as they are usually on leash. There is space to walk or jog up and down the road either direction. Wheeling and St Clairsville both have paved bike and walking trails. If you just need a good night's sleep in a quiet spot without worrying about a knock on your window, this is a good spot.

Nice grass, level and plenty long &wide. It is just off from the gravel drive and next to my camper. 

Lynchburg Relax Stop 

I have a long paved outdoor driveway. It can accomodate up to 3 vehicles, a boat, a large RV, or a combination of that. Very safe and convenient location.

We own 103 acres in Rural West Virginia on a ridge.  Beautiful scenery for nature hikes and a beautiful pond to walk to.

Gorgeous setting by the creek, nestled in a rural valley surrounded by National Forest.  Enjoy the sounds of nature and farm animals, with morning and afternoon shade.  Hosts live on-site.

Note that the site is firm with excellent clearance, but campers greater than 18 feet may have difficulty navigating the turns on to the property.

Hosts may be able to offer the use of a fire pit (and wood) depending on local weather and burn restrictions.   

We cannot accommodate outside pets, for the safety and tranquility of our pets, livestock and wildlife.  

Rural creekside retreat

Quiet country setting, can accommodate up to 30' trailer. 50 amp hook up with city water. Fire pit area that can be used. Close to multiple state routes and interstate 77. Outdoor cameras for your safety. Baseball field and playground across the street, with a big field to play in. Minimal interaction from me, but feel free to ask if you have any questions or needs.

This is a parking spot within walking distance to Virginia Tech's campus and downtown Blacksburg Va. Most suitable for folks travelling to VT events that don't want to pay inflated hotel prices. There is no view and no amenities. But it's convenient and hassle free. You are free to plug in to our 30A plug, and we can run a hose for topping off your water tank. There is a dump station less than 2 miles away on campus free for public use.

Have a nice stop by this flowery mountain meadow next to a babbling brook/creek nestled under nice shady trees.  You can park in the U-driveway or in the backyard by the creek,  whichever your preference.  This area is special for its multiple waves of mountain flowers and abundant songbirds, and the relaxing sounds of natural water flowing by.  There are also natural clear water pools in the backyard much of the year.  I'll be sure to say hi and try to make sure you have what ya'll need.
