Located in Amargosa Valley, Nevada, we have an 8-acre property with vineyard and campground on a quiet road adjacent to BLM land. Our location is about 45-minutes from Furnace Creek, Death Valley, and a great base camp for exploring the park. 

We offer visitors 15-amp power hook-ups, potable water, and composting toilet. We also have a coffee station and outdoor shower that can be enjoyed and are available by donation. 

My family of 5 lives here part-time and when around, I love to chat with guests and hear about their adventures. When we are away, guests are welcome to make themselves at home and can contact me directly with any questions/concerns. We also have a family of Guinea Fowl who keep an eye on the vineyard. They are friendly but can also be loud (sometimes as the sunrises).

Flooded

In January of '21 an atmospheric river descended upon the canyon in which we lie at the bottom of. The heavy rains and winds brought down trees that were burnt from a large fire a few months prior. The logs damned and burst causing a flood of epic proportions, scouring the earth, moving boulders as big as a house and taking out trees as big as a bus. Our home and many facilities were destroyed as the banks breached as high as 30 feet from the river bed. We are currently in the process of reestablishing the basics. Some things were spared and we still have the ability to host some guests. The land has been dramatically changed but is just as beautiful as it has always been.

Intention

A Home with Family, Friends, and Animals. Striving to create a minimal impact, with a respect and awareness of this wild and natural part of the central California coast. Practicing simple eco-sustainable and environmentally friendly living techniques.

Energy

An escape from the electrical grid. There is no internet, electricity or phone service. There is minimal solar lighting, fire and propane stoves and water heaters. 

Food

The outdoor open kitchen was destroyed so please bring your own cooking equipment. The organic vegetable garden was spared but the goats, chickens, ducks, and many fruit trees were washed away. We have since gotten some chickens and a rooster.

Water

Drinking water is available filtered from some taps.

Fire

Fires are permitted in only a few areas.

Facilities

Structures on the land are rustic, generally lightweight and built to blend in with the natural character of the land. There are outdoor composting poopers set up with sawdust and barrels.

Kids

Kids are welcome with an accompanying adult.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome off leash, unless they attack chickens, goats, cats or other dogs. Please bring a shovel to bury dog poop.

Environment

This is a remote area with beautiful beaches, creeks and hiking trails throughout the forest. Some areas can be very dangerous with steep cliffs and loose rocks.  Be aware that things like spiders, snakes, raccoons, mice, poison oak, etc.. exist in natural areas like this.

Experiences

Enjoy the scenic Pacific Coast highway. Retreat into nature by yourself or with friends and family. Have a romantic getaway. Practice art, music and photography. Spend time to read & write and sit in meditation. Adventure along the creek, to the beach or up the mountains.

Music

No stereos or electronic music devices. Acoustic instruments are encouraged.

Driving

Carpool, parking can become tight. This is a busy, curvy mountain 2-lane Hwy. If a car wants to pass, pull over. 

Garbage

Please do not bring excessive single use waste into the forest, pack it out. There is limited trash service, recyclables can be seperated.

Alcohol

Alcohol is discouraged. It is not intended as a place to party or get drunk. A casual drink is okay.

Contributions

All contributions are put back into the land, helping to facilitate the nurturing and sharing of this sacred space.  

Reservations
 -IN ORDER TO BE ACCEPTED- please write  "My party and I have read and understand the description" and then tell a little bit about yourself/party, in your booking request. Do NOT request to book if you are uncomfortable being around other people or feel the need to wear a face-mask outdoors.
  We are currently not booking more than 14 days in advance. Internet is not always checked daily. Sometimes Maggie helps manage reservations but she does not live on the property.

Arrival

Arrive before dark. Dogs may bark, but are friendly. You are welcome to check-in with hosts and get any assistance you may need, but they are not always available. Make sure you read the Written Directions and Manual and have them saved, as there is no reception on the coast.

Provisions

Be prepared before leaving Monterey from the north and Morro Bay from the south with plenty of gas, a light, warm clothes, groceries, wood, ice, and anything else you may want or need from town.

Winter

In the wintertime, Dec-Feb, the days are shorter and it is wetter, windier and colder and there may  be unsafe road conditions. Check the status of Highway 1 before beginning your journey. As many structures are outside it is advisable to check the weather before booking.

A Place to Stay

Park like setting in the front of the house where a smaller RV, truck or van can be parked. In the back there is room for a larger RV or truck and trailer. There is a yard for dogs to run although picking up after them is a requirement, we do have a trash receptacle on the side of the house. We live in a truly beautiful place that is off the beaten path to relax without street lights and noise so you can rest.

Sweet Pepper Ranch is a small scale guest ranch and boarding facility in Idaho’s Treasure Valley. We train horses as well as run an eco-friendly horse facility. Some of the conservation practices we highlight include composting and manure management, non-toxic pest control, pasture management and rotational grazing, drought-tolerant native landscaping, and more! Lots of parking spaces along with pool, bon fire, relaxing under the rural night sky, and enjoying our friend ranch atmosphere.

We have two-car sized parking area on the backside of our house. It is accessible through the alleyway. 
It is safe, quite and big enough for your van. 
We live in a very nice neighborhood right outside of Denver, called Sunndyside.
We have a backyard which is accessible with table and seating and space for your fur babies.
Interaction with guests will be dependant of us being in town. But we are happy to give space or be social. Whichever you prefer.

Hi, there! I'm Becka, and this is my property next to Utah Lake, and right on the corner of Chimney Rock pass, the road to the local desert playground. We are surrounded by the majestic Wasatch mountains, with beautiful views, sunsets, rainbows, and star gazing. We have been hosting campers for a few years now, with great reviews! We offer bunnies and goats to visit with, porti poti, several water spouts, trash and dumpster, and all the firewood you possibly need. Hope to see you soon!

Alpine 🏜️ at 7500' elevation..Virtually untouched grazing land since beginning ..The Rio Grande River lies about 1/2 mile due West , where all watersports are welcome .. The old (500 yr. old crossing area and remants of 150 year old rope/cable  ferry crossing..) river crossing newer steel bridge are 1/2 mile N by NW  , due West across river is forestry land and Manassas i8 miles west  , due East from bridge will get you back to SR 159 , San Luis is 12 miles North , 55 miles South to Taos , NM..

While there are no amenities as of yet, Al can point you in the right direction! If you are having any kind of vehicle trouble, we can send you to a fair and safe mechanic.

Open grassy lot right off MN-6 and just blocks from trailhead entrance. Just a few blocks to downtown Crosby, including the Red Raven Coffee Shop and other restaurants and shops.

Its a country property but it is within 10min to almost any store.

As a tenant for over 5 years, I've gotten to know the area and local residents quite well. In my building, each tenant is entitled to two spaces, one for personal parking and one for a visiting guest to park. 

Now, now, before we get too anxious, Ill further explain that in all the years I have lived here - the actual capacity for my own buildings lot has been around 25% on average. On major holidays where most people are home, it maybe tops out at 50%, but more likely 35%. 

Im also aware of the tendency for management to allow folks to park over night and often for multiple days in RV's, pick up trucks, sedans and I've even seen full blown coach buses. 

I figure, why not offer space that nobody else is typically using. Nobody complains, there are no assigned parking spaces, its basically a free for all. 

So if you're in the area and in need of a safe and quiet place to park and sleep, for a reasonable price that includes Wifi and electrical outlets in reasonable distance (20-30 feet) The  feel free to give me a shout.

The Backwoods Visitors Center & Community Shoppe

This is a beautiful 1.3 acre plot of land in Williams, AZ - a quick 30 minute drive will have you at the entrance to the Grand Canyon national park! The perfect place for travelers to stay and enjoy gorgeous sunsets and open space with a bit of shade.
Most of the land will have some small shrubs or grass, but there are plenty of places to park without difficulty. Be sure to pull completely off of the main road.

The pool area may be rented to host small gatherings and we do offer a basement apartment for short term leases.

We can assist you to find access to cycling, mountain bike trails, dispensaries, wineries and hiking galore. Paddle boarding, rafting, and kayaking are available on lakes or rivers located nearby.

We are located 10 minutes from downtown Grand Junction.

Firewood and sanitation are up to you.

For an additional fee of $8 pr day, water & electricity can be available.

My property has been in my family for 3 generations and I know what a treasure I have to share. This setting is a very primitive high Sonoran desert mesquite bosque with bountiful wildlife and hiking. I am willing to answer questions and assist, if needed. I have carved out some beautiful spots that help reach your inner voice. Rural and remote. Perfect!!!

Hi welcome to Cascade Locks. Our place is nestled on the south side of the highway right next to the Pacific Crest Trail. We have a spectacular view of the tree lined hills behind and the Columbia river in front. We have a flat space next to the home with a 1/4 acre of land in the back yard. We're the last house of the cul de sac with plenty of room to turn around. Our neighbors are quite and keep to themselves. In the summer time they tend to their beautiful lawn. 
The space offers electricity, water, and wifi. Enjoy a campfire on the patio or hang your hammock up between the trees in the backyard. The yard is not fenced but your fur babies are welcome to play in it. 
Your host, us, are either home enjoying what our small town has, or out exploring the area. If you see us around, dont hesitate to say hi. We love meeting new people and conversing. We have a young German Shorthaired Pointer who is very friendly and loves people. 
Cascade Locks is a small town with much to offer. There are 2 breweries in town. If you like fish, the locals always have fresh catch for sale under the bridge. There are multiple hiking trails to explore. Hood River is a 20 minute drive east and Washington is just across the bridge. Multnomah Falls is a short 15 minute drive west. 
The Columbia River Gorge is a site to see and explore. 
Although we ask no cigarettes, marijuana is always welcome.

Close to I-25, a small farm atmosphere with ample parking for any size RV or van.  Close to Wild Cider and a few local small breweries that are incredible!  Well off the beaten track and a good place to come and get recharged without the distractions of the modern world.  We have a beautiful view of the mountains and the quiet, serene environment is priceless to relax and get away from it all! Stretch your legs and kick back, plenty of room for pets to roam and play.
