My sons and I live in a small home in a great neighborhood located approximately 1 mile from I-96. There's an 8' wide gate into our shaded, private backyard. You'll have access to our home for the kitchen, bathroom, shower and laundry. Feel free to use an extension cord and our hose for your RV or van.

Walk to one of Chicago’s largest parks, Humboldt Park where you can go swimming, take a nature hike, eat from food trucks or the nearby small grocery store across the street called Central Park Foods. Autozone and 24 hour Gas station in walking distance. Parking for an oversized 25 foot long vehicle behind garage in driveway. Across the street from a children’s park!!! Security cameras on property.

Frugal Van Life in Scenic Holland, MI 🚐 

Relax by the creek listening to the flowing water or take a dip in it on a hot day! The property is surrounded by large mature trees and has a big open field in the middle and a creek running through it. There is a large firepit with adirondack chairs for bonfires. The firepit is closer to the house but still fairly private as it is situated in front of the unoccupied walk-out basement. If requested I can provide a firepit table and a charcoal grill that you can keep closer to your spot. There is also a deck off to the side, closer to the parking spot, with a table and 5 chairs. 

Lots of wildlife comes through- deer, beautiful birds of all kinds, hawks, owls, frogs, squirrels, chipmunks, fox and more! I keep my grass short and try my best to keep up with the weeds, but I do not use any chemicals or fertilizers whatsoever.

There are quite a few forest preserves and trails nearby for hiking or biking. Driving through the neighborhood you might see horses, chickens, and a peacock. This property feels like you are in the middle of the woods but if you drive 5 minutes to Randall Rd. there is pretty much any restaurant or store you could ever want.

Pets are welcome. The property is not fenced so pets will need to be leashed or well-trained not to run off onto the neighbor's properties. I have a mini-pig who lives indoors but loves to spend nice days outside in her fenced area by the barn. If you see her outside feel free to say hi or let me know if you'd like to meet her and I can try to make sure she gets out there.

I have a very large driveway with a large spot on the side that is perfect for an RV/camper. Right in front of this parking spot is the entrance to the beautiful backyard. It really is a gorgeous slice of nature that I am excited to share with other nature-lovers.

This is a full hookup RV/Tent, van site.Located  50 ft from turtle creek for 24 hour fishing  access. Located  down the street  from the Ottawa wildlife preserve. Located near many fishing  charters. Ideal for fisherman  and bird watchers. Fire ring included. Bring your boat if you wish.

I have a long driveway to offer that is shaded ( branches are van high) it is wide enough for two cars to sit side by side   There is space in the backyard to park but not when it’s raining.  I may be open to allowing garage parking for a fee    The pets can play in the back yard. I have a big barking dog if they are scared of her there is a park three houses down. 

Three options for parking.   ( if not raining)

Look for gray and black shed with a yellow house. Parking is aloud on gravel driveway only. It is the second driveway with a private drive sign. We do have two dogs in a fenced in area, they a very friendly labs that love people and other dogs. Dogs are welcome in back on trail long as they are on a leash. We have a small walking path along the side. A nice country setting outside of the Wis Dells to park RV or pitch a tent on grass. About 8 miles from downtown, we are in between Reedsburg and Lyndon Station. Can recommend a few good eats in the area. Enjoy the Dells water parks and we can watch your dog for an additional fee. And I can supply campfire wood for a small tip.

This private parking lot is situated on 7 acres of property right outside of downtown South Haven. It is the future site of West Michigan's first hostel and we are opening the outdoor area this summer to skoolies, van lifer's, campers, and any and all travelers. Our goal is to make this a social space to help connect young adult travelers prior to the hostel opening. 

Because this is a social space, we advise people who prefer a quieter, private area to consider staying elsewhere. It is recommended for ages 18-35 but all guests young at heart looking to enjoy their time in South Haven amongst other travelers are welcome. 

DISTANCE FROM TOWN:

We are approximately a 5 minute drive to South Beach, to downtown, and to Walmart/Aldi/Meijers. 

PETS AND CHILDREN:

Pets and children are only allowed on a case by case basis. Please reach out on the dates you'd like to stay and we will let you know if we can accommodate you. This is for their safety!

SIZE ACCOMMODATIONS:

We have a large paved parking lot and can accommodate many large rigs at a time. If you have a question on whether or not we'll be able to accommodate yours, please reach out.

There is a water spigot, indoor bathrooms, outdoor lighting, WiFi (coming soon), a large yard space, and a bonfire pit. Tools, yard games, kayaks, and many other things you might need to make your time more enjoyable are available at request for free or a small rental fee.

The property is located in downtown Harbor Springs, MI situated up on the bluff. The driveway is only 100 feet or so away from the scenic overlook of Little Traverse Bay and a short walk down the boardwalk stairs to shopping, restaurants, and Lake Michigan.

Welcome to Adrian! You can park outside the front of the house on the street or take the long driveway behind the house to the fenced yard next to the pole barn. You can park in the gravel next to the barn, tucked away in this quiet, safe tree-lined neighborhood. It is one mile from downtown Adrian and highly walkable. It is less than one mile from the beloved Kiwanis Trail which extends for miles in both directions. I work full time and solo parent, so I’ll be on the go but available for questions. 

Maple Hideaway 

Residential home with long driveway available for van/RV use.  Our neighborhood is very quiet and less than 100 yards from Lake Michigan (with beach access), yet close to the city and conveniences.

Amazing fishing/ice fishing is available from our private dock as well as a boat ramp just next door to launch your water craft. 
In the winter a snowmobile trail runs right past the property. Beautiful hiking, biking, cross country skiing and down hill skiing are all available nearby. 

Weather permitting we have kayak rentals available. 
Water hook ups are only available seasonally due to freezing temperatures.

Downriver Spot

This is a reasonably quiet driveway with shrubs on both sides. Walking distance to McDonalds, and a five-minute drive to I-94. A few miles to 196 and about thirty minutes to 131. I don't drink alcohol nor smoke cigarettes, so I'd prefer if those were kept out of sight. 420 is fine and I'm okay with sharing if I'm out in the garden. Come spring I'll be offering tomatoes, zucchini, raspberries or whatever is in season. If we are compatible, your visit can be extended and/or we can negotiate on electricity and water.  Within a short walk is a soon to open waterpark. Kids are fine, prefer no dogs - I don't have a fence and sometimes my cats are out on a leash.

Situated on two acres, you can snuggle up with a good book and a cup of hot cocoa—or snowshoe right from the back door, build a snowman in the spacious meadow, and immerse yourself in the wintertime magic of Emmet County’s multifaceted winter playground.
