Hello and welcome,

   Started vanlifeing around the country in 2020 in search of the best spots for great weather, nature, quiet and outdoor activities (swimming, hiking , biking and kayaking). In 2021 I found this wonderful spot in the Keewenaw that has everything I was looking for - love it here!

Happy to have the opportunity to be able to offer parking space on the property for guest travelers. Enjoy meeting folks from around the world and sharing stories and time around the campfire.  I'm in the process of building an outside toilet and shower but unfortunately that's not done yet. Clean water, electricity and wifi are all available now! Still working slowly but surely on the camp and the land and often need a little help with yard work or building things - I can pay about $12 per hour for easy work and more for skilled jobs.

This lovely little camp and land are on the outskirts of town next to miles and miles of wilderness. Craig, the previous owner had to move away and was happy to sell it to me to continue fixing up his dream spot.  It's been a fun project and is turning into a wonderful place to be for the summers. The free apples have been an unexpected bonus!

It's all walking distance to downtown Calumet. Cool old town with a great farmers market, couple good coffee shops and some tasty food options (highly recommend Carmelitas). There are hundreds of miles of bike trails that you can connect to from right here. Hiking trails and waterfalls are all around in the Keewenaw and remote beach access is only a short drive. The kayaking up near Copper Harbor is spectacular too.

My dog, Yogi Bear, is super chill and loves anyone who offers to pet him and especially anyone who has a doggie treat :) He is a happy Chocolate Lab & Hound Dog mix, about 100 pounds of pure joy. A gentle giant!

You have a couple  parking spot options - shade or sun. Both are quiet, safe and surrounded by wild flowers, trees and a great view of the big sky.

Pets:  In general we do not allow dogs.  If a cat stays in your van that of course is fine.  We love animals.  We have a lab and rather not have another dog on property.  But we may be flexible if you want to talk about it....
